Aisha K. Staggers is a writer, lecturer and post-modern culture critic. She is a regular contributor to Atlanta Blackstar and has also written for For Harriet and other online media outlets and traditional news organizations. She is the former Editor-In-Chief of On The Rise, an e-zine that showcases the works of independent music artists ans former co-host of a weekly radio talk show.  Aisha also has experience as a professor of social sciences and previously served as the African American Affairs Coordinator for the South Carolina Commission for Minority Affairs and Assistant Director for the Center for Social Policy and Research at Central Connecticut State University. She currently resides in Connecticut with her daughter.
